NCL America's newest ship, the U.S.-flagged Pride of
America, will host the daytime TV show "Live with Regis and Kelly" on
its maiden voyage June 18-24 down the East Coast. The program will air
a full week's of shows from the ship June 20-24. The talk show, which
stars Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa, will give away 1,000 cruises to
their viewers from May 16 to June 10. Each day, they will give away 20
cruises to one winner, who then can invite 20 family members or friends
on the cruise. "It's the first time we've ever done shows live from a
moving ship, and the first time we've given away a thousand trips to
our viewers," said Michael Gelman, executive producer of "Live." The
Pride of America is the first U.S.-flagged ship in almost 50 years. It
is operated by NCL America, the U.S.-flagged brand of NCL Corp. The
Pride of America's inaugural voyage cruises from New York to Boston,
Philadelphia, Norfolk and Miami. The ship is heading to its permanent
homeport in Honolulu. "This is an unprecedented event for the cruise
industry and we are very excited to be working with 'Live with Regis
and Kelly' on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity aboard the new Pride
of America," said Colin Veitch, president and CEO of NCL Corp. Contest
